Virginity, what’s your take on it?

I just started seeing a girl, 22, that just told me she was a Virgin(by choice, not lack of opportunity, she said) . After about 3 weeks messing around she nervously told me she was a Virgin, which I thought was weird she was scared to tell me (she's open to the idea of losing it now). For me, 33, experienced(was in 9yr relationship before) it's super exciting to me to get to explore new things with her. IDK if I'm different though, I'm not in a huge rush to have sex. I'm fine with messing around for now. The only thing that worries me is that some people place too much importance that "your first" is the only person you should be with, I could see it leading to toxic relationships? Just go at your own pace, if you're ever pressured into feeling like you need to have sex to 'keep someone around'', it's probably a bad relationship. On the other hand, sex is fun, ain't nothing wrong with experiencing what the world has to offer lol.
