Virgins of Reddit, how old are you and why are you still a virgin?

I was in my mid-20s when I lost mine. I was never a looker, very much on the ugly end of the spectrum, had no redeeming qualities whatsoever, when it came to looks. That alone was a pretty crappy start... but I was also very introverted. Locked in my own world, averse to going out and finding people. On weekends most people would probably go out, and I'd just sit at home playing Morrowind and watching documentaries on Rommel and Guderian.

To complicate matters further, despite feeling like I was dealt a pretty crappy hand, I was always only interested in dating up, way up. Like, I might've been a 3 or 4, but I'd only be interested in women who were a 9+. And of course, they had to be both beautiful and highly intelligent. Oddly enough, despite these ridiculous expectations, that last bit was the one saving grace for me. I later discovered that beautiful AND intelligent women were often quite isolated themselves, jaded by the dating scene, and the instant connection I could make with them made them overlook my shortcomings, because their intelligence made them less superficial. So, to conclude, it is indeed possible to get what you want with pretty much everything going against you.
