Visiting PHX in July

Rustler's Rooste is pretty corny wild west Americana.. good food though. If you're an omnivore get the Vaquero dinner it's steak and an enchilada with salad and frybread rolls. It's GOOD. To get any more "Arizona" on a plate you'd need to find a place that serves poverty, meth, racism and inexcusably bad voting records.

Also if you want to keep it real and not just stick to tourist food go here and tell 'em you want a cheeseburger with a fried egg on it. You won't be sorry.

Or go to Taco Feliz on 10th Ave and Dobbins 925 W Dobbins Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85041

If you see a dude walking around pushing a cart like this or like this or you hear the sound of a horn like this repeatedly honking nearby.. walk up to that dude or chase him down and ask if he's selling elotes. If he is, buy two of them or maybe three and bring me one. Ask for it "con todo" - with everything. Everything. Everything or just get back on a plane and go home because there's only one way to eat elotes and that's con todo.

Also if the guy is selling elotes but then he hands you a cup like this instead of the right way on the cob, just look at him disapprovingly the whole time you're paying him because elotes en vaso are bad and he should feel bad.
