Vivian Balakrishnan calls on G-20 to 'stop weaponising food', avoid protectionism

I'm not siding with Russia, but put yourself in Putin's shoes.

He wants Ukraine, and is willing to start a war, send troops, drop bombs, kill thousands, possibly millions to get what we want.

In response, the world has imposed sanctions on Russia, and to that, Russia imposed embargos on their export, as well as blocking off Ukraine's. Perhaps the order is reversed, and Russia started it first and the world retaliated with sanctions.

But the point is, do we really expect Russia to comply just because Singapore says "Eh don't like that, don't play food"

I guess what I'm trying to say is, "Err guys, I don't think Russia cares. In fact, I think they're actually achieveing their intended effects."
