Vote for Bionicle

This is false. While Bionicle and Star Wars were the only two brands making money, they didn't "save the company". Lego was making a loss well into 2004, Bionicle launched in 2001, so they did not save the company from bankruptcy: their new management, Jörgen Vig, did. To quote the article: "Lego could not survive on big sellers alone". If they only did Bionicle, they would've failed too.

"From 2003 to 2005, Bionicle was the reported top-performing LEGO toy line, but after that, sales dipped below expectations. ". In short: It was Star wars and other licensed themes that saved Lego because they produced profit long-term, and that's why that's basically all they produce now. Bionicle was an interesting side track that made unexpected profit, but still suffered from the high cost of custom moulds which tanked the company's profit margin years prior.

And still I don't see the point of using pointless arguments, why not just say you enjoy action figures more than bricks? You don't have to motivate why you like something, or ridicule others for liking "real" Lego, Bionicle is basically a separate community from the well-established AFOL community, but has more recognition in the average younger internet crowd due to nostalgia
