Disgusting. What is ignored in these discussions is what 'warmonger' entails. The fact that the author flippantly trumpets that term compounds the disgustingness.

Neoliberal warmonger foreign policy has been responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians. It has led to drastic destabilization of the middle east, increasing terrorism, and again, the deaths of thousands and thousands innocent civilians. But vote for the warmonger, lol. Because otherwise there will be A NIGHTMARE. Perhaps. But you must weigh that against the annihilation of innocent lives by American bombs. What is the abstract horror that outweighs that in Trump? What is the moral imperative here?

And the argument that Trump would act like a neoconservative because "he's a liar", and therefore everything he says may be deduced to be a lie, is too obviously idiotic to even address in substance. Trump has a great many flaws, but he's been consistent in certain views over the years, and there is no reason to assume he's lying about them, even if he is a crook in general.

And meanwhile, movements come and go all the time in politics. If Trump won and was as awful as many expect, the backlash against all he stood for would be massive. Whereas four years of Clinton might well do the same going the other way... (This very basic backlash phenomenon is inexplicably ignored in our political culture in favor of desperately fighting out each election).

But the unconscionable violence of American military aggression doesn't come and go with election cycles. It's permanent. And the trite attitude of this article towards " warmongering lol" is deeply disgusting.
