Voter ID now required to vote in Iowa

I felt the pain when I went to get a RealID. They don't accept a hospital birth certificate which I've used for years. Obtaining a certified birth certificate has its own process with a fee and a wait. And then it would be another two hour trip to the DOT to apply and then another wait for the new license to arrive in the mail.

Getting a valid ID should not be this complicated, but it is. I opted not to get ReadID for now, which will surely cause me inconvenience at some point. (Luckily a standard license still allows one to vote.) I understand why some people wouldn't have acceptable ID and get denied their right to vote.
