Voters returning to Bloc Québécois over fears provinces are 'ganging up' on Quebec: Chantal Hébert

I live in Quebec and I can say that Hebert is right,

Bill 21, the pipeline and several Conservative governments trying to cut services to their own french minorities make Quebecois "head back behind the walls of the castle" to consolidate their position and prepare for an assault.

The CAQ Leader is a Quebec nationalist and, some say, still a separatist. The CAQ itself has hired the bulk of the PQ's former advisers and strategists. There are as many PQ strategist in the CAQ as there were in the PQ.

As Legault will act as the King of "Castle Quebec", Blanchet will be his general in Ottawa, waging the battles.

Blanchet is the expandable resource, he knows it and accepts his fate, so do not for a second think that Blanchet will act like a normal federal politician acts, he will be unpredictable, he will not care about appearances or even his reputation, he will just get the job done.

He is there to weaken the federal grip on Quebec and will not compromise until Quebec is either a Sovereign entity within Canada or completely independent.

The biggest mistake someone like Scheer can do is to imagine that he can rely on the Bloc as an ally in Ottawa.

If the Bloc ever shows openness to Scheer, it is because its blade will already be half-way into Scheer's back.

Blanchet will use anyone, Scheer, Singh or Trudeau to further his cause and will drop them as soon as they are no longer useful.

If you ever wondered what a real and ruthless political beast is, keep your eye on Blanchet.
