Want to apologise first for posting this here and being salty but this had/still has so much potential to become a great game and means so much to me. I always go back and rewatch the first Versus trailer once in a while.

It seems to me that Nomura is trying to salvage bits and pieces he had created for Versus XIII by incorporating them into all his new projects.

Maybe I've just gone completely insane here but hear me out.

There have been so many aspects of all the Vs XIII trailer content in the new Nomura projects.

• The dark atmosphere of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.
  Sora's ultima weapon working like Noctis' Armiger in the 2006 trailer.

• Tifa swinging on monkey bar like Noctis jumps from rung to rung in the 2013 rebrand trailer.

• All these new characters resembling previous character designs:

1. Cor/Luxord/Driver in the Superboss ending of KH3 > Jack [Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin]
2. Ignis' facial features + Gladio's physique green shield man[Verum Rex] + Barret > Ash
3. Prompto/Red haired Ice mage[Verum Rex] > Jed (Seiyuu sounds exactly the same in Japanese to Promto)
4. Malnourished 2B[Nier Automata not relevant]/Iris > Neon
5. Pretty new lady on the floor reminds me of Tifa.

• What's with Square's new obsession with characters trying to reach out and grasp each other's hands in cutscenes?

Tifa will always be best girl but this pretty new lady's design revealed with Tiamat in the new SoP:FFO trailer is looks really damn good.
