Dude just stop man, all I see here is excuses and not "reasons". I know Riley also has his fault but man. He could've talk to his agent about the Bosh contract situation and play it out to get an 50/50 salary with Bosh or he could've let the Heat know about LeBron leaving earlier so that the team can prepare plans and pay him long term while still looking for FA. The best thing you should've done here is to confront the man himself Riley by walking straight on the door of his damn office and ask things like "what is his plans on this team?","do you even need me?","Hey KD ain't coming so I'll negotiate for a higher salary that I deserve","This is my home I wanna play here","I want to hear from your mouth if you still needed me", "Hey Pat we should meet and talk with my agent". He should've said that. Yeah I know he got upset with the 10m rumors but that's why its called "negotiations" you can still tell your agent you demand more money and the fact that the Heat doubled the offer means you're "needed" because they ain't gonna throw all the money on their cap space if you're not needed.

In companies/workplace you always confront the boss. The boss ain't going to follow you as always so you need to talk. Voice your opinion in his face and not with Woj. To be honest I think the organization got complacent to the fact that Wade always say "I'm a Heat Lifer" to the point that the Heat org thinks he'll always stay. He'll always in the same page. At the end of the day you didn't even voice your opinion or confront things to your boss because you hide to your agent and go on vacation.
