I walked away from my MLM a few weeks ago.

I think the anti-working-mom mentality is gross. Because MLM ladies ARE working moms. I was always working. I realized as I was deciding to leave that what I was doing was actually worse. I wanted more time with my kids, because working outside the home took me away from them and it made me sad. BUT working from home = me being with them but not spending any quality time with them. It would have been better to send them to daycare where someone would interact with them.

And in all reality even the people who make a ton of money in this business don’t get more time with their kids. My friend who recruited me works all day and takes a ton of business trips while her husband takes care of the kids. They call themselves a “full time family” but they honestly just swapped roles. Others I know who were very successful have nannies or have their partner watch the kids. It wasn’t what I wanted.
