I got this:
It’s a wall plate with a center hole just large enough for my Ethernet cable (without an end) to fit through. They’re designed for old-school phone or coax wall ports, where the cable just sticks right out through the wall.
Mounted it on my outdoor outlet box with a a good outdoor-outlet-rated foam insulation piece behind it for waterproofing, then I used my crimper to added an end on the Ethernet cable I had sticking out the hole.
You still have to drill into the plate to install the camera mounting screws (and I recommend caulking it on for additional waterproofing) but all this has some big bonuses: very low chance of water ingress, you know a metal plate is strong enough to hold the camera, you’re not adding any new/additional holes in the side of your house, and the caulking is against the metal plate, again not harming your house.
