Walmart’s out-of-control crime problem is driving police crazy. Police officer jokes that the concentration of crime at Walmart makes his job easier. "I've got all my bad guys in one place," he said.

It’s an unfortunate fact. Despite being the world’s biggest retailer, it also has one of the smallest profit margins of any retailer due to their ultra-low prices. That means they can’t spend much on hired security and such. There’s a reason you never see homeless people shopping at Target, nor do they employ people with severe disabilities and such. If you don’t like being around the poor and the disabled, then shop at a store that caters toward your income bracket. But expecting Walmart to become another Target and just abandon everyone below the upper-middle class isn’t nearly as compassionate as people think. Cops can complain about having to do their job there, but police exist to serve the community, not the other way around.
