[War Thunder] How to shake an enemy off your tail

This is actually very similar to a recounting done by a WW2 pilot in a documentary I watched years ago. To be quite honest I couldn't source it now, it was so long ago, but I believe it was tied into a series following the Band of Brothers popularity.

Anyway he would drop throttle, which would effectively remove any forward thrust. Then he would yaw hard left (left rudder pedal) and pitch up (nose up, stick back) while also slightly rolling left (stick left). The effect was quite severe. The maneuver would dramatically increase the drag the aircraft had by angling the fuselage into the oncoming airflow while also effectively removing any thrust in the forward direction. His speed airspeed would plummet, and for a few brief moments, he would be able to look almost 90 degrees to his right before completely stalling out, during which time a short burst could be fired at a closely tailing enemy as they fly right passed you, provided they didn't expect the maneuver and plan accordingly. Super interesting stuff.

Tl;dr it's not impossible.
