Good luck with this (sincerely). I've had horrible luck with PayPal not caring. I ordered some stuff (~$22), never showed up, emailed the seller/site, got silence. Opened a PayPal ticket, outlining what happened, and that they were ignoring me. A few days later PayPal closed the ticket, and there's nothing I could do to appeal. Emails got nowhere. Now I know I should have charged it back on my CC.

A few years earlier, I ordered a couple pizzas online, paid through PayPal. Never showed up. Tried calling, turned out the place went out of business. Weeks of arguing and emailing with PayPal, they kept saying they had to get in touch with the merchant, etc. And I kept trying to explain that they no longer exist, that should be proof enough. Then their next move was to say it had been too many days, and the case was closed, nothing they could do. Only had been too many days because they jerked me around for so long.

Other people might have better luck, but PayPal has been completely horrible about refunds in my experience. Just go straight to the credit card company. PayPal service reps would rather just close tickets and do less work, or they have metrics about refunds allowed that they can't go over I'm guessing.
