Warp Drive: Scientists Say a Physical Warp Drive Is Now Possible

Popular mechanics just discovered Einstein’s general theory of relativity? Oh my gosh

People... We have always been able to “relatively” travel faster than speed of light, it’s called hyperbolic motion.

Or space travel at constant acceleration. From the accelerating spacecraft point of view you can reach another area of space-time way faster than the light traveling at a constant velocity “light speed” will.

Uhh, I think at 3G theoretically a vessel could reach center of galaxy and slow down in 7 years? Center of galaxy is ~28,000 light years away. The trick is from Earths perspective the spacecraft will take.... 28,000 years to get there.

That’s why time is relative and it’s one of the basic underpinnings of called Einstein’s universe in his 1905 STR and 1915 GTR.
