Washington governor will announce a ban on gatherings and events of more than 250 people in virtually the entire Seattle metro area to try to stop the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, a source tells AP.

How many of those people were sick? I'd say attendance at the last Sounders match was down at least 20% to 35% - I know they officially said 33k vs. 40k the week before, but those stands were empty.

Don't get me wrong, voluntary isolation will NOT stop 100% of spread, people are stupid.

In the end, it might save lives... that's good. It'll also ruin lives. Businesses will go under, people will lose their leases, businesses, maybe more. There's been no meaningful help for small businesses, particularly restaurants who usually use last weeks' sales to pay for next weeks' food & rent.

What happens where no one goes down town? When there was no last weeks' sales?
