Washington Post: Vaccine skeptic heading commission on vaccine safety

Can we get political garbage out of /r/Medicine?

As far as I can see, he asked him to be A chair on the commission, implying there will be more than one.

While I don't agree with what he thinks about vaccines at all, in fact I find it terrifying that he's anywhere near making policy decisions about vaccines when he bases his opinion on a study that destroyed the career of those who conducted it.

It's been proven Washington Post has been consistently writing doomsday fear-mongering articles about Trump since the primaries, some with more merit than others, this one being another exaggerated piece.

With top comments like the one on this post, generalizing Trump supporters based on a smear article taken at face value, it's no wonder the communications between both sides have broken down, why bother arguing with people who can't even look past the surface and educate themselves as to what they're generalizing so many people over.

There's no discussion to be had in that comment, it's just a divisive comment that doesn't just get us nowhere, it regresses us to be an echo chamber that excludes anyone who thinks differently, you don't change someone's mind by telling them their opinions have no merit.

/r/Medicine is better than this crap.
