I feel this pain. Especially lately, my most ardent opponents seem to be my teammates. Had a match today where I managed to score a game tying goal in the last few seconds. In overtime, after the kickoff, I'm midfield and the ball lines up perfectly for me to make what would almost assuredly been the winning goal. I hit it just right, and it goes sailing toward its target.

For about 10 yard.

Suddenly, my teammate comes flying in from the left, hits the ball off the side wall and back toward our end of the field. It was a perfect pass for the other team, who took full advantage to end the game.

So many of my games in the last few weeks feel like I'm stuck with players who do nothing but ball chase, interrupt my shots, and leave me on my own to tend the goal because, due to the incessant ball chasing, they're always behind the ball instead of between it and our goal. Meanwhile, the opposing team is stacked with players performing pro-worthy aerial juggle goals I've never been anywhere near skilled enough to pull off. IDK what Psyonix has done to their matchmaking for the game to ever think I should be matched up against players whose skill level so far outstrips my own.
