Why Wasn't Tesla Profitable? (07.25.19) - Tesla Daily Podcast

I.e. this expense is elevated and not representative of the depreciation expenses of 'steady state' production facilities where equipment is maintained and replaced.

and

considering that Tesla already has a REALLY aggresiv way of reporting D&A compare to many auto makers.

To me those two are agreeing with each other. Saying depreciating is elevated and not representative is another way of saying it's aggressive. It's saying the exact same thing in a different way.

You then go on to explain a bunch of ways where the aggressive/elevated depreciation is done for the wrong reasons or has other problems. I'm sure there's lots of other stuff you disagree with. But I'm not really interested in any of that. I was just making a very simple observation: you two agree on this and you called it "quite ludicrous". Which seems very weird to me. Especially since you keep arguing about other stuff that no one else is really talking about.
