I watched Men, and I hated it.

I said that the redeeming factors of the movie are the music, acting, and cinematography

I guess what we really need is an explanation of exactly how your grading scale works. If good acting, music and cinematography earn only one point each, what are the other (presumably seven) levels on which the film fails? You point out the somewhat nonsensical/not terribly logical nature of the narrative, and the themes, which you feel are not developed in a nuanced way. But it seems like that should rate the film a 3/5, if those are the only factors you're judging it on. Why do narrative coherence and thematic complexity trump the other three factors you mention so resoundingly?
