Water Cooler Wednesday

Found out just now that the new member of our Buyer team who just started a month ago either got promoted or got hired into a higher position than me (Buyer/Planner II v Buyer/Planner I for me) despite the new Buyer having no experience in the position unlike me. I think it's all because the new Buyer was given all the responsibilities of the old Buyer (who was a Buyer/Planner II) because management didn't want to take the time to re-allocate, and I've been stuck being close to my training workload because we never re-allocated responsibilities because we haven't had a team manager for four months now.

What is frustrating is multiple times I asked our Director and the Senior Buyer if I could take on more suppliers and tasks to help even the load, but they just ignored my request and said not to worry and wait until we get a new manager. So in effect I got jobbed by not getting as much tasks due to no one wanting to re-allocate responsibilities despite me asking for it...

I've edited my resume and I'll start looking for a new job now because I think this lack of addressing my role and addressing my question is frustrating, but at the same time I haven't made it a year yet in this role and I know finding a new job when you haven't made it a year at your current job is hard.
