Maybe he just likes it.. I mean if he really does get majority of his income from his booming brush business, maybe he does find this just as a fun thing to do. Kylie really was such a big big hit (not sure now though) and he perhaps just wanted to give it a shot, see what the hype is about. As a makeup artist I think he wants to always test out makeup because you never know from what brand or manufacturer a good product can be from. He doesnt need to only stay with traditionally respected brands.

The clickbait, while annoying, can actually help non-subscribers to come upon his videos and learn an actual thing or two. I remember I discovered him through “clickbaits” as well. Not even necessarily for money. Maybe he just actually wants to spread his knowledge to others

Also if he always featured his brushes on his videos I’m sure some people would complain that he was just advertising his products too much
