I'm sorry about what you've been through. My point is a generalization--that it's obvious why you might get a cold response when you're talking about 2020 being good (for you). I never said that you or anyone else can't "feel how you feel." I never stated anything about how one should feel--I'm only stating the obvious about public discourse. And I think it is disingenuous to compare everyday human suffering to an exceptional global pandemic, which is a rarer occurrence and in this case has had extremely unusual implications. So, if you are talking about how 2020 is great to someone whose parents have died from COVID, or someone suffering debilitating anxiety due to COVID, etc., yes I think it is tone deaf. And on the internet, you never know who you are talking to.
