I’ve been driving for 10 years. Never once had someone hit my car or slam their door into it in a parking lot. My mom has been driving for 50 years. Has never had someone destroy her car in the method you describe. The only people who do this shit (yes even at the back of the lot with two spaces instead of five) are people who care far more about themselves than anyone else.

Paranoid your super nice car will get dinged by another person opening their door? Drive a shittier car. I’ve seen multiple $100k+ cars (Audi R10, Lambos, etc) parked completely normally, there is no excuse for this except for being self centered and narcissistic.
