The way they're looking at it it's obvious that someone's just -dropped- from the gunshot and if that happens...I'm assuming he got shot in the head or something. I'm completely guessing here but at 0:45, above the guy in the black shirt....I suspect that's red mist from the blood. I replayed that bit like ten times trying to get a sense of what that was and yeah that's my best guess.
