Why do you find it unreasonable to expect a poor two parent household or a single parent household with a car to be able to obtain a bank account with no fees?

That's incorrect as I've spent a great deal of time thinking about this and had similar conversations on this topic several times before..

That's not an accurate characterization of what I've said. None of the examples I've used demonstrate where it's more expensive to be poor. At best the only demonstrate how it's expensive to be poor if you don't try to do anything to reduce your unnecessary expenses. But that's not a meaningful statement as that's true whether or not you're rich or poor.

It's not inherently more expensive to be poor, but there are ways in which it can end up more expensive if you neglect putting a small amount of effort into avoiding them. I understand that these sorts of things pile up overtime and it can be hard to change those habits. Of course there are several systematic challenges that poor people face. But the single best thing for those individuals to do is to avoid repeating actions that just make their own situation worse.
