if you lie about it, then it's a lie. some people do wear makeup and deny it, so i can see where that comes from. but just wearing makeup in itself, is in no way a lie. is perfume a lie? is a hairstyle a lie? are clothes a lie? makeup is a form of self expression or self care that we use to present ourselves to the world. no one is saying we naturally have sparkly eyes and red lips (and if they do, it's your own fault for believing it). the world needs to stop expecting us to do things and then hating us when we actually do it.

if that man asked for a divorce after seeing his wife without makeup, then all the better for her, since clearly the only thing he married her for was her appearance. (that said though, charlotte tilbury... please give it a break)
