Last night at 3am, I was woken up by what sounded like a gunshot and a simultaneous animal yelp that abruptly ended. I didn't report that either. I did report the first few attempted buglaries on the empty mansion opposite my house, the guards ignored me so I've stopped reporting them. They're up to a dozen in a month now. I did inform my neighbour that travellers were playing with her car. She spent an hour lecturing me on why I was so stupid and they wouldn't be interested. It was trashed the next night by people using it to climb over the mansion wall next to which she had parked it.

Right now, I have the flu. I know where I got it and the general public can damn well deal with it itself because I don't have the energry to fight people who don't want things that need reporting reported. I'm going to sit in bed and drink chicken soup and be grumpy and not feel in the least bit guilty about any of it.

And I'm going to take a perfectly reasonable Irish approach to the Martello Hotel in Bray giving me the flu and not eat there again.
