This will be a little too personal to share here but I am going to do it, I might delete it afterwards if I am too uncomfortable with it being here.
>!So, my father might be dead. We got a call like 4 days ago from some unknown person whom he had entrusted to call us so he could speak to his family, while he was in hospital. The person who called us didn't give us any proper details about the hospital or put us in contact with the doctor who was treating him. When asked to do so he told us that he would visit the hospital next day, as it was late in night and hospital was about 10 KM away from his house. We weren't the only one this person had called he called our uncle (who lives in the same city as us) and some of my father's relatives who live in a different state. Since then his phone is switched off. This isn't the first time he has "died" might be third time, but it is for sure the second time he has informed several people in his family that he has died. Last time around it wasn't as elaborate as it is this time.
Now, my parents are divorced, both me and my older sister live with my mother so we aren't in contact with him as much as one would generally be (he also lives in same city as us). So, he has not been in contact with anyone since 6th, and all of his mobile phones have been switched off since then. Last time he was online on 5th of Feb, same day he left for a different city so he could get some kind of treatment which he was in immediate need of, which he had informed my sister about and had asked her to sign some documents related to this treatment which she refused.
So, at this point we are unsure about his current condition and whereabouts. Now something about my father, the best thing I can say about him is that he is not a murderer and maybe not a rapist (atleast in his eyes). So there is no love lost here if he is dead, atleast for me. He has no job only way he has made money his entire life has been by scamming desperate people, robbing my mother's purse and by blackmailing people. He has been arrested for same crime three times in a span of 12 years. Basically a fraud he has taken a "loan" of about 10 million Rupees in total from different people, the he has yet to pay. People from whom he has taken largest sum of money were also informed about his "death" and now they are contacting us about his whereabouts.
So, here in lies the problem with his "death", he might have done this to get away from these people or he might actually be dead or was killed by someone whom he owed money to. This has been bothering me a lot and I had to talk about this somewhere or to someone, as I can talk about this to my mother and sister as they might get even more worried.
