Georgia Tennessee 3:30 PM, CBS +3.5 The Vols finally got over the hump against Florida and did it with guys who weren't expected to contribute. Colton Jumper, the much maligned MLB for the Vols earned the highest defensive grade of the week according to PFF and the Vols exploded against UF on offense in the 2nd half, while the defense was lights out as well. Georgia, admittedly, didn't look good against Ole Miss and it's unknown whether Nick Chubb will play in this game. However, the Bulldogs could be revenge-minded thanks to the loss last year, and could have a good passing attack if their receivers clean up the drops, and that might keep them in the game. However, I still see the Vols coming out with a win and going to 5-0 on the season. Tennessee - 30, Georgia - 24
LSU Missouri 7:30 PM, SEC Network -13 For the first time since 2004, LSU enters Tiger Stadium without Les Miles as head coach. Interim HC Ed Orgeron will have to get their mind right; luckily he's got a good track record as an interim, going 6-2 at USC in 2013. Missouri has one of the best offenses in the nation statistically as well as a decent defense, and that could help keep it close for the boys from Missouri. Ultimately, I see LSU winning, but I don't think they cover as I don't think LSU's offense has the capability of having them pull away. LSU - 27, Missouri - 20
Vanderbilt Florida 12:00 PM, SEC Network +10 Florida hopes to get back on track after losing to Tennessee, and this game provides a good opportunity for the Gators; Vanderbilt's defense has been struggling after getting lit up by Georgia Tech and giving up 30 in an overtime affair to Western Kentucky. Vanderbilt has shown that they can move the ball, at least against lesser opponents, with QB Kyle Shurmur completing nearly 60% of his passes in the win, and plus, they have RB Ralph Webb too, who is an excellent player as well. I think Florida grabs the win here in a rebound game, and wins comfortably. Florida - 31, Vanderbilt - 10
South Carolina Texas A&M 4:00 PM, SEC Network +17.5 Fun fact, Texas A&M and South Carolina play for the James Bonham Trophy. The trophy, as you might have guessed, is named after James Bonham, a man from South Carolina who rode to the Alamo to tell William Travis that no more reinforcements would be coming. I don't know why I felt compelled to tell you this historical tidbit, but the Gamecocks probably aren't going to have much better of a time than Bonham did. Texas A&M is really, really good. They've got all the right pieces; a good QB in Trevor Knight, a nice RB in Trayveon Williams, a good receiving core and a killer defense. South Carolina's defense is decent, but their offense is garbage and I don't see them moving the ball at all on the Aggies. Texas A&M - 35, South Carolina - 10
Alabama Kentucky 7:00 PM, ESPN -35 Kentucky got a conference win vs. South Carolina and that, at least temporarily, keeps Mark Stoops not fired. Kentucky is going to be playing a backup QB against an Alabama defense that is ranked #4 in the country in terms of S&P+, though Kentucky RB Boom Williams (and to a lesser extent RB Benny Snell) are nice pieces. The Wildcats gave up 45 to Florida, and I don't see that being much better against an Alabama team that is probably more talented at nearly every position. Alabama should have no trouble dispatching the Wildcats, but I think Wildcats narrowly cover. Alabama - 42, Kentucky - 10
Auburn Louisiana-Monroe 3:30 PM, SEC Network -33 While I don't think the Auburn offense has another day like they had against Arkansas State, they've got the talent to completely overrun a Louisiana-Monroe team that gave up 59 to Oklahoma and narrowly lost to Georgia Southern. ULM is also 119th in defensive S&P+, so I feel confident that even Auburn's sputtering offense can hit the over, and that Auburn's stout defense can help in that. Auburn - 48, Louisiana-Monroe - 13
Mississippi Memphis 7:00 PM, Various ESPN Networks -14.5 Last year, Memphis showed everyone that they were for real after whooping the Rebels in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. This time, the game is in Oxford, and Ole Miss, once again, looks like a really good team, but so does Memphis after the departure of Paxton Lynch. The Tigers have been demolishing (admittedly overmatched) opponents, destroying Bowling Green 77-3 after Tennessee transfer Riley Ferguson threw for 359 yards and 6 TD's. The Tigers also destroyed Kansas, but Ole Miss is going to be a far higher step up. Ole Miss' offense looked like a killing machine against Georgia, with $wag Kelly having a very good game as well as his power forwar...I mean receivers. Anyways, Ole Miss' defense, despite giving up points, is actually top 50 according to S&P+ and they should give the potent Memphis offense their biggest test of the season. Although the Tigers have been good, I don't see it being enough against an Ole Miss team click and looking for revenge for last year's debacle. Ole Miss - 56, Memphis - 31
Arkansas Alcorn State 12:00 PM, SEC Network None After losing a game they had competed hard in for 3 quarters against A&M, Arkansas will get a nice bounceback victory against a reeling Alcorn State team that, although they are the defending SWAC champions, have lost their coach to Southern Miss and lost a shocking upset to Arkansas-Pine Bluff last week. The Razorbacks will probably use this game to get their backups and guys on the fence a few reps and will comfortably win. Arkansas - 52, Alcorn State - 7
