Week 10 Predictions

Last Week: 4-1

Overall: 51-22

Away @ Home Broadcast (CST) Winner Reason/Score
UTSA @ Texas A&M 11:00 AM Texas A&M Of all possibly Texas/Texas showdowns, this is a little underwhelming. A&M is favored by 38 and they should be looking to cover every bit of that. 48-7
#6 Florida @ #8 Georgia 2:30 PM Georgia Florida jumped Georgia in the rankings every since the Bulldogs lost to SC, but given the talent on each side I still believe Georgia is the better team. I'd anticipate a very close game if it was in the swamp, but between the hedges I see Georgia taking this one. 24-17
Mississippi State @ Arkansas 3:00 PM Mississippi State Mississippi State is bad, but Arkansas is baaaad. State's 4 straight losses are probably a good motivator, but I would imagine Arkansas's 5 straight are motivating them too. I'll give this one to the team with an SEC win. 16-10
Ole Miss @ #11 Auburn 6:00 PM Auburn Auburn is exactly where they should be at #11. A close loss to Georgia and another relatively close one to Florida make sense. Ole Miss will not be able to keep up, especially in Jordan-Hare. 28-6
UAB @ Tennessee 6:00 PM Tennessee Tennessee hit some kind of stride last week. A savvy SC team that just beat UGA and kept it close against Florida was looking to put Tennessee away, especially since they didn't have Brian Maurer. Instead, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th string QBs put on a CLINIC and chucked it deep all the way to a 20-point Tennessee victory. These players are riding on a high, and they can't get cocky and drop a trap game. for some reason, though, it seems difficult to get cocky this season. 31-14
Vanderbilt @ South Carolina 6:30 PM South Carolina In my description of last week's SC game, I noted that the two prior weeks looked very promising. It's not like anything fundamentally changed for the Cocks, so I think they will still be able to avoid a complete collapse and put the hurt on Vandy. The Commodores may be confident after upsetting Mizzou, but as we learned last week it probably wasn't a major upset... 27-13
