I didn’t even make $450 a week. I was getting $200 a week in Sydney. I still had to pay for my own phone bill. I’m not sure how familiar you are with Australia, but a “cheap” meal is at least $20. Round trip public transport to and from my house was around $15 a day, and that didn’t include any transfers throughout the day. They also didn’t pay for my food over the weekends - just M-F. I’m also. It originally from Australia (I’ve lived here 6 years now), so when I agreed to the job I really had no way of knowing how expensive it was, and I didn’t have any family or friends to offer me some reprieve.
