A common reply that whites uniformly say upon hearing that Asians are smarter than them is, "They may be smart, but they aren't innovative. They might have a high average IQ, but they have a lower distribution, meaning less geniuses."
Both are wrong. According to the SAT's and PISA, Asians not only have a higher average, but higher standard deviations as well.

However, the SAT data groups many ethnicites into the Asian label. Pacific Islander, Indian, etc. But on the PISA, where Asians are more homogeneous than whites, Asians still have a larger SD. Enough that we have 8 times as many geniuses at the IQ 160+ range per capita. That's 1/4000 people for NE Asians and 1/32,000 for whites. There are approx. 10,000 people at that intelligence level in the USA and 300,000 in China. That means that our people have an enormous level of untapped potential. Once those geniuses get proper education, China will become the undisputed powerhouse of scientific research and industrial innovation.

Already, countries like Korea and Japan are innovative centers. Korea alone gets as many patent grants as France and Germany combined. That means Koreans alone are about 3x as innovative per capita as the most innovative European peoples, given similar quality inventions (and yes, Korean products are just as high quality).
The conclusion? Asians are more innovative and have more uber geniuses in our ranks than do Caucasians. As long as we can make it to the highest level of education, we can make it to the highest level of science, academics and invention. We are more talented.
