Weekday Help and Victory Thread for the week of January 14, 2019

[Taxes] In 2018, I worked as an independent contractor for my spring internship and earned $30k over five months. I did not pay any quarterly taxes on it. Thereafter, I earned about $70k as a full-time employee over seven months and taxes were withheld from my W-2.

What are the taxes I am expected to pay if I worked as an independent contractor in Pennsylvania? Also as a foreign national, I am exempt from paying social security and Medicare taxes for the first five years I am in the US. And, I read about having having your 'business' expenses deducted. I mostly had my commute and stay reimbursed whenever I visited my company in another state. What kind of receipts/documents are needed to prove my expenses like food?
