Weekday Help and Victory Thread for the week of May 04, 2020

I bought a home and feel like I have no idea what I am doing. Specifically, I would like to shop home insurance quotes but don't know how to compare them, who pays them, how do I switch, does it affect my escrow? Where is my escrow? Do I owe taxes for last year? For this year? My mortgage goes up to $1300 from $1000 after the first year because something something property taxes. Do I need to file a homestead exemption? How often should I service my two AC units? What do I need to do to protect my brand new home? I don't feel like the cleanout in my back yard was properly plumbed, what should it look like? I guess I could Google these things, but the whole home buying process was a huge headache, now owning a home is a whole new thing to learn. I feel like there should be a pamphlet for this stuff or something that comes with your How To Be Adult package.
