Weekend Discussion Thread - December 20-22, 2019

It's possible for sure. We have the Sahm Rule know that is giving us better info on the macro picture. It's possible that we should be in recession right now and that all the fed activity was brought on by a 2 month change and they are fighting to head it off. Also Europe is contacting (has been and will continue to do so), China is growing on paper (but we're can't trust their numbers so who knows), and when was the last time you heard about anywhere else? US is currently, and probably will be for the near term, the only really growing economy of any note in the world. Couple that with almost everywhere going negative rates I image the market will keep sweeping in money until something big changes. Of course a 10% correction wouldn't surprise me in the next year (actually not having one would be a huge surprise), but not a sustained bear market.
