Weekend Discussion and Victory Thread for the week of July 31, 2020

I’m turning 21 by the end of this year. So far I’ve only had one job working full time prior to college. After I quit I had enrolled in a community college where I’ll be transferring next year. I live with my parents so I don’t have any rent demands, but I occasionally use money for groceries and some errands.

I have no car which I’m not bummed about as it requires a lot to maintain. I mostly stay home. I have an emergency fund of $6,000 saved up, $800 in index funds and stocks, and about $12,000 saved how I choose to spend it, whether it’s college or not. No debts to my name and currently unemployed.

I haven’t spent much over the past couple months. I’m paranoid on being broke or entering debt, and also I’m paranoid on not having money ready during these times. Am I in a good position?
