Your opinion is unpopular but I agree…also, I hate that OP words their own situation like their son just reacted in the moment or something…they were walking around with an illegal gun and they ‘always’ had a weapon…this is probably going to be unpopular too but their son’s situation didn’t just happen to him, carrying an illegal gun around is a pretty bad choice, sounds like that combined with other bad choices led to tragedy, and their son was largely responsible…it’s not just about one bad decision in the moment, it’s about all the bad decisions that led to that moment. It’s not just an unfortunate series of events that happened to them, it’s choices.
