Weekly 'Ask Anything About Analog Photography' - Week 29

It's the way you said it.. "Defeating the purpose of shooting color film". That's just not a welcoming statement it sounds like you're reading a set of rules that we all must follow. No where in the history of photography did anyone ever state that photos are not supposed to be edited, it's actually part of the natural workflow. I'm not aware of any famous film photographers that didn't edit their work. I would have instead said something like "I don't like to edit my raw photographs and I prefer to leave them natural as they look straight off the negative other than positive conversion" which keeps it to your opinion on your work instead of trying to blanket your opinion on film photography in general.
