Hello!
My name is Dr. Kristin Hadfield and I work at the Resilience Research Centre at Dalhousie University. We are starting a pilot study about parents’ dating. We want to know how to help children and families adapt and succeed.
Who can participate: The research focuses on parents of an 8-12 year-old who are in a single parent family or stepfamily.
What will it involve? You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire. The questions ask about you, your child, your family, and your partner (if you’re in a romantic relationship). There are no right or wrong answers and the replies will be completely confidential. The questionnaire will take between 30 minutes and an hour to complete. You will receive a $20 (Canadian) Paypal transfer.
What will happen to the results? The findings from this research will help the team to decide what questions to include in a larger study of parents. All the information collected will be confidential, and no one will be able to identify you from your replies to the questions.
