Weekly Careers and Clerkship Advice Thread

Currently 1st year JD (finished 8 subjects), just wondering which of these two employment offers would be more beneficial for me in the long run: 1. Correctional Officer - pros: better pay (per hour), flexible hours, more "interesting" work. Cons: obviously not related to law degree or my career aspirations. 2. Paralegal at small firm - pros: obviously more related to my degree and better career path to becoming a lawyer i suppose. Cons: it is a full-time position and i still want to continue my degree part time so it would be much harder to make time for other parts of my life. I also have a volunteering position lined up after i complete my training in September, but obviously wont be able to volunteer if i decide to work full time paralegal, but im fairly certain id be able to make time if i take the correctional officer position. Honestly, am leaning towards CO but worried that this experience would be ultimately irrelevant and having the paralegal experience now would be better for me in the long run. Are the advantages of a paralegal experience worth it for me? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
