Weekly Check-In - January 14, 2019

I met someone via Meetup last week and asked her out on a lunch date for this past Saturday. We had a pleasant conversation but she had to leave abruptly in the end to make prior engagement (she had given me a heads up before the lunch).

I tried setting up a second date over text, but she became very terse and essentially ghosted me.

This was a disappointing experience. I thought it would be different because we had already met and it wasn't the "don't know what to expect" first date feeling that comes with online dating.

I can't help but rack my brain over what went wrong. She liked me enough when she met me to go on the lunch date, so something must have happened, or I must have said something, during the date that made her change her mind. I'm aware that this isn't a good mentality, but I always revert to feeling like this happens to me every time and that I just can't get it right.
