Weekly Complaint Thread - 2/4 - LWYRUP Edition

Be me: First day of orientation, Welcome Breakfast. See this weird looking girl reading the torts text book, she's on chapter 4. This is orientation. I don't even know where the book store is. Heard stories about gunners so I decided to steer clear and introduce myself to the smokers because it's been all of 20 minutes since my last cigarette.

First introductory lecture "How to Brief a Case" case is Rose v. Giamatti. The future love of my life, we'll call her Prof. Sally, 30's flirty brown hair blue eyes, former litigator for a large firm in NYC, begins the lesson. Weird looking girl from breakfast raises her hand before 10 words come out of Prof. Sally's mouth.

"Ergghhhgh urm Professor I erghhh couldn't get the civil procedure text book erghhh erhh the book store didn't have it available"

Clearly from the sound of her voice she has Aspergers. Couple guys start laughing at the sound of her voice and her inability to say ermm and ergh every 5 words.

Professor asks her name she says Miranda. "Well Miranda that's an issue you'll have to take up with you civ pro professor right now we are doing Rose v Giamatti." Prof Sally is just amazing all around. We then break off into our respective sections to meet our professors.

I'm just hoping Miranda isn't in my section. I'm section C, go to my assigned room, obviously there is Miranda. She's moved on to the Criminal Law text book and is on chapter 8. Turns out there is still hope, section C has the same prof for only torts, crim and civ pro, not writing or contracts. Head off to see whose in my small section, good news is I have Prof Sally for contracts, she's amazing, bad news so is Miranda.

When I was in grade school my teachers always filled out the same 3 standardized comments. SalsParadise capitalizes class time, distracts other students, disruptive. I never thought it was a big deal, it is school no one wants to be here anyway, what's wrong with making dreary algebra entertaining with some well placed fart sounds?

It's February of my 1l year and I might have to strangle a girl with Aspergers. I'm on a full scholarship and I feel like she's taking money out of my pocket. The way she behaves in class fits perfectly into those standardized comments. Miranda capitalizes class time, distracts other students and is very disruptive.

Over these 6 months I've seen her: pick her nose and eat it; take her shoe off in class and smell it; take the sole of her shoe out and nibble on it, she once bit her toe nails in class, that's right foot in mouth middle of lecture; she constantly answer rhetorical questions; blurting out "but wait" is her go to when asking a question with out raising hand; she chews her hair to the extent that she sounds like a dog eating peanut butter (she finally broke this habit by cutting her hair into Dumb and Dumber bowl cut); she eats the corner or her notes and text book pages; and there's the constant erghhh and erhmms she makes randomly through out class.

I am very tolerant, I've spent a lot of time with people with special needs. Never in my life have I ever felt so strongly about wanting to hurt someone.

Tl;Dr Girl with Aspergers is ruining my 1l year.
