Weekly Complaint Thread - 15 June 2017

Just finished bitching to a friend in America about this one. I made a few new j-friends and we have somewhat surface level conversation. I tried to ask something a little bit deeper and how the world works, or what they think about something that's not the weather. I got two responses: "wow, you sure think about things a lot" and tonight "you must have accidentally sent that to me as a mistake". No you fucker, I actually want your opinion. We've been friends for a few months and I don't want our whole relationship and friendship based around how cute my dog is today.

Ironically, sending this sort of message out of the blue and getting a heartfelt, immediate response from an old friend in the states just confirms everything.

What do you do? Start a LINE message off with "失礼ですが、いろいろ個人的な意見をいただきたいと思います。"... I carried your sorry drunk ass around town more than once. The least you could do is humor me when I ask you about something.
