Weekly Discussion/General Questions Thread - February 22, 2021

I just started running a week ago. I started cycling last summer, so I'm not completely new to endurance sports, but still pretty fresh. I run 25-30 minutes and I don't feel like I'm running at my limit, I could talk in short sentences during the exercise (I heard that's a good rule of thumb). Yet my average heart rate is 170+ with reaching a max of 187. Is this normal cause my heart still needs to adapt (I get that running isn't the same as cycling but I was hoping that my heart would be better in coping with the exercise)? Or should I consult a physician before continuing. [M27, no smoking, no alcohol, Sertralin and Mirtazapin for my Depression] Thanks in advance
