Weekly Discussion/General Questions Thread - February 06, 2023

I'm a male in my early 30s with no known health problems. I've recently got much better health insurance and plan on seeing a doctor for a physical for the first time in years. I'm currently in a long term monogamous heterosexual relationship, but in my teenage years I had receptive oral and anal sex with a number of classmates and older men. I've tested negative for hiv, syphilis, hepatitis multiple times since I've stopped having sex with men but I'm wondering if this is something I should disclose to my new doctor.

I'm a little fearful i could be at higher risk for hpv related cancers that could go unnoticed if I don't disclose it, and wondering if maybe I should have a colonoscopy at a younger age. Aside from the awkwardness of discussing this with my doctor I'm also curious about how that information is stored in my medical records. That's a period of my life I've moved on from and not something I've shared or discussed with anyone in over a decade and wouldn't want it to come back to affect my personal life.
