Weekly Discussion/General Questions Thread - April 03, 2023

hi, i went to the doctors office today one for my own sickness the second time was an ER visit for my boyfriend.

my ER visit letter is fine, all correct info stating i was accompanying my boyfriend in his visit, date correct, names correct. etc

my personal visit letter (different facility then the ER and i was the patient) is dated wrong. it says I can return to work Tuesday April 3rd, when today is Monday April 3rd. granted, my personal visit was very hectic for all the staff due to other situations in the office not related to my care which was okay, crap happens.

i submitted the ER visit letter first to my employer because it was printed out already. I usually screenshot my personal visit letter from my mychart and just print or send the screenshot over to my boss.

Upon immediately sending, i saw it was dated wrong. i feel like a fool. i’m not sure if i should just forget about it and pretend like i didn’t catch it until someone says something or if i should call and asked for a corrected one.

i’m just scared because my employer can sometimes be a bit of a hassle over these things and i’m not trying to receive an accidental forgery charge over a facility mistake.

tl;dr - Doctors office typed incorrect date for a work note.
