First of all, I’m excited for this run,p. Chip was great in Urban Legends, and I hope to see more of that here.

There’s not much negative, so I’ll mention that first: Valmont. Stop trying to make him happen, it’s not going to. Annoying enough on the main cat woman book and it’s spreading. If you don’t want Bruce and Selina to be together stop skirting around it, and at least Selene deserves better than someone’s hacky Ghostmaker wannabe. Oh and one last thing, referencing or hinting three jokers? Not the best way to start, I heavily disliked that story and hope it remains forgotten outside canon.

Now, back to the positive, because boy there is a lot!

First of all, Jimenez and Mora are for sure the most fun, dynamic and talented DC has around, they better treat them well! Jimenez is at the top of his game.

The story was fun, as was seeing Tim work with Bruce. I guess Tim is gonna start doing by Tic Drake or something though, it’s a curse. Happy that Clayface at least helped saved the civilians, even if only cause he was threatened.

Glad that Batman immediately called out penguin cause that dude is the furthest from self made. Also I really like how Jimenez portrayal of penguin evokes Devito to me.

Also good that the a scenes of Bruce Wayne was noted, I felt that was something Tamakis run excelled at at the beginning, but shadows of the bat stopped that from continuing, which was a shame.

Next up, figuring out wtf failsafe is. Solid start, great art and promising story, and very good character interactions. Next time let’s just ignore valmonts existence and hopefully ignore three jokers forever.

The backup, surprised it was a catwoman lead story? I didn’t read solicits well enough lol. Honestly better written and more interesting than the main book currently, robo lawyer is a fun addition.

As for penguin, either he’s not really dead or we’ll see him in TFZ in a few. Is this probably the time w most dead Batman villains at the same time? Penguin, freeze, Zasz, Arkham knight, man bat, dead shot, kgbeast, and all the rest of TFZ many members. Eh, they’ll be back.
