I have a question for the working crowd here and here's the situation:

NCMH emailed me this morning for the deets of my first consult. It will take place next week in the afternoon.

I am so new in my current job. Wala pa akong 1 month dito. How do I tell my supervisor na I need to be excused for like, 40 mins (5 mins before my appointment time, 30 mins appointment proper, and like extra 5 mins in case lang) to attend said appointment?

Or may experience ba kayo na tulad nito? How did you tell your supervisor?

Since baguhan pa nga, I am not yet comfortable with my supervisor or my colleagues pa and I do not know how they will take it or how they will see me if sasabihin ko "I am going for a psych consult po, can I be excused for 40 mins", kasi I personally know a lot of people (yung mga nasa 45 pataas) na pag nakakarinig ng ganyan, they'll think na weak or di na reliable ever. I don't want to be labelled with anything when I do not even know what is going on with me.

We do not have formal leave arrangements kasi kaya I can't just file a leave and just go. We can have leaves daw but need to consult supervisors first (this is just how it is ata).
